It wasn't because I wanted to share my short story with readers.
It wasn't because I was too impatient to follow the traditional road of publishing.
No, it was because I was scared.
A while ago, I talked to Kelly on Twitter, which ended in her asking if I wanted to write a guest blog for her website Live, Love, Read YA. I immediately said yes and the same day I wrote about why I self-published,. It felt like the right timing to share more about the journey I've been on since I was sixteen and picked up writing in a more serious way.
Two weeks ago, this post was published on her blog and I shared the reason behind self-publishing The Silver Braid, so head over there if you want to read more about my fear of sharing my writing with others!
YOU tell me: do you recognise yourself in this? Have you ever battled with something similar?
