Our journey begins in Negombo, where ocean breezes and a mindful welcome circle ease you into the rhythms of Sri Lanka. From there, we travel inland to the sacred city of Kandy, where devotion and stillness come alive in temples, forest monasteries, and artisan workshops. Each day unfolds with yoga, meditation, and Yoga Nidra, balanced with cultural immersion, whether setting intentions at Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, visiting the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, or walking silently through hidden sanctuaries. Time for journaling, reflection, and rest is woven throughout, offering the spaciousness to listen inwardly while being nourished by the beauty and spirit of Sri Lanka.
From the mountains we journey to the sea, where the turquoise waters of Bentota invite surrender and flow. Here, we’ll practice yoga by the ocean. Along the way, we will spend time at the Elephant Freedom Project (Kegalle)—an ethical sanctuary where elephants are honored without chains or riding, allowing us to connect with these magnificent beings in a mindful and compassionate way. We will also snorkel coral reefs and explore mangrove rivers alive with light and birdsong. Between excursions, there is time for Ayurvedic massage, ocean dips, and integration circles, all leading toward our closing reflection and celebration under the stars.
As this itinerary becomes more finalized, we are still weaving in sacred places and experiences—what you see here is a glimpse of what’s unfolding. This retreat is an offering of presence, guided by spirit, aligned with nature, and rooted in the heart of Sri Lanka.
