Yoga Therapy with Shanna Hughes

Private 1:1 Sessions via zoom OR in Shanna’s yoga studio in Damascus, Oregon

In my practice, I prioritize treating each person holistically, addressing physical, mental, and emotional well-being. I utilize a blend of yoga techniques, mindfulness practices, breath-work, and meditation to empower clients to tap into their inner strength and resilience.

I'm certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and offer personalized sessions tailored to individual needs, drawing on my expertise and dedication. I'm a member of the USC Yoga and the Healing Sciences teacher training faculty and teach chair yoga and gentle yoga. And, I integrate iRest, a form of Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep, to promote deep relaxation and release tension.

During our sessions, I assess your individual needs, taking into account your medical history and conditions. I may also use talk therapy to support your mental and physical wellness. I've helped clients with various physical ailments and limitations, including post-surgery recovery and age-related mobility issues, with many experiencing significant improvements.

My goal is to make yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or requirement. I draw inspiration from my 15-year study in Kashmir, India, under Swami Lakshmanjoo, exploring Kashmir Shaivism's profound teachings on consciousness and self-discovery.

We can meet via zoom or you can visit my studio in Damascus, Oregon for personalized sessions, which start with a detailed assessment and practice plan in the initial 1 ½ hour session. Follow up sessions are available individually or as a discounted six session bundle, with in home visits available upon request. Please note that cancellations less than 24 hours before the session will incur the full fee.
